Our Vision:
We want to empower individuals and organisations to make informed decisions when managing their risk and foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness. Our aim is to rise the tide of cybersecurity to lift all boats across the economy by:
- Allowing organisations to see weaknesses in their cybersecurity
- Encouraging the adoption of key cybersecurity measures
- Allowing individuals and organisations to see weaknesses in their supply chains
- Incentivising the improvement of cybersecurity through competitive use of publicly available ratings
- Making the market compete on cybersecurity
Our main target aresmall to medium enterprises who do not generally have the resources to effectively manage cyber risk.
We aim to assist both:
- Organisations who want a better understanding of their current cybersecurity strength and steps they may take to better protect their systems and data. The result may also be used by the organisation on their websites, email footers and social media to assure their clients/ customers that they are striving to protect their sensitive data.
- Individuals and organisations who send their sensitive data to other organisations. Through CyberViz, these individuals and organisations can check the cybersecurity rating of other organisations, such as their lawyer, accountant, or financial advisor, to see if they are taking key steps to best protect their data.
Our story:
- We are three friends: two of us with a background in IT and cybersecurity, and the other with a background in law, regulation and digital forensics.
- After discussing multiple clients who did not take some of the most basic and essential steps to protect their clients’ sensitive information, we realised that there was a large problem. Organisations and individuals, especially small to medium size ones, do not have the resources or ability to both understand their own cyber resilience and communicate this to their clients, and to check the cyber resilience of other key links in their supply chain.
As a solution we developed CyberViz. We came together and collated some of the most fundamental and essential baseline cybersecurity measures recognised by leading industry and Government bodies across the world, to be used in assessing the cybersecurity of organisations and provide a traffic-light method to inform interaction with other organisations.
